Gail Kahan
Gail Kahan has practiced law since 2001. She belongs to the Maryland and California bars. Gail has her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and her law degree from UCLA.
During law school, she worked at the law firm of Riordan and McKenzie and interned with Judge Margaret Morrow, of the U.S. District Court in California, and Justice Miriam Vogel, of the California Court of Appeal. After law school, she worked as a Deputy Los Angeles City Attorney.
In 2005, after she and her family returned to Maryland, she launched her own law practice concentrating on wills, estates, and probate. Gail is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, the Olney Chamber of Commerce, and the Montgomery-Prince George’s County Tax Study Group.
Apart from her professional activities, Gail is very involved in her local community. She sponsors local sports teams and served two terms as the President of the Brooke Grove Elementary School PTA.
Tracy Liden
Tracy joined Kahan Law in 2021 during the pandemic and we are so very glad that she works with us. She brings practical experience and an analytical approach to solving problems.
Tracy earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Berkeley (Go Golden Bears!) and her law degree at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She moved from Southern California to Texas and practiced immigration law for her firm’s business clients. After starting her family, she moved back to Southern California with her husband and children and devoted herself full-time to her family. After a long break, Tracy has rejoined the legal profession as a paralegal with the Kahan Law. We are glad she’s back and working in the law.
Tracy is an integral behind-the-scenes member of the Kahan Law team. Tracy prepares first drafts of estate planning documents and first drafts of just about all legal filings such as petitions and pleadings for the Register of Wills and Orphan’s Courts. She also assists with reclaiming unclaimed property and transferring assets from estates to beneficiaries and from clients to their trusts.
Stephanie Noland
Since adding Stephanie Noland to our team, our offices have never been friendlier or more efficient. Born and raised in Montgomery County, Stephanie has been an absolute treasure to have on board. Stephanie attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School and pretty much knows everyone or is related to everyone in the Montgomery County area. So when you work with Kahan Law, you can successfully play six degrees of separation with Stephanie.
Stephanie joined our team as a Legal Assistant, where she serves as our client coordinator. She schedules client meetings for Chandra and Gail, supervises signings, visits people in their homes, and assists all of us wherever possible. She prepares documents for mailing to clients and interested persons and files all court documents. When Stephanie sees something needs to be done, she makes it happen, including ensuring that Gail and Tracy get up from their desks for fun.
Chandra D. Wright
Chandra joined the Kahan Law team in January 2023. She works with clients preparing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, special needs trust, and complicated tax planning documents.
Chandra has received education, training, and experience in several areas, including a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, a Master of Arts (Counseling Psychology) from Southwestern College, Santa Fe, NM, and a JD from Dale E Fowler School of Law at Chapman University, Orange, CA. She also worked with the real property practice of Freedman & Friedman, LLC. Prior to law school she worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker, and owned a brokerage in Rockville, Maryland.
